Dr. Milton Grin

Brian Heiniger, MD, grew up on a family farm near Fairview, Kansas and attended nearby Hiawatha High School. After graduation, he attended Kansas State University and majored in Kinesiology. Dr. Heiniger obtained his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, Dr. Heiniger was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and won the J. Donald M. Gass Award for excellence in ophthalmic education and research. Dr. Heiniger completed his internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and his residency in ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. During his time in residency, Dr. Heiniger served as both Clinic Chief and Surgery Chief resident.

At Grin Eye Care, Dr. Heiniger practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract and refractive surgery, and he manages many conditions of the eye including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, droopy eyelids, dry eye, and macular degeneration. Dr. Heiniger enjoys spending time with his wife Anne, a speech-language pathologist, and their three young children, Lincoln, Claire, and Lillie. Dr. Heiniger’s other interests include sports, exercise, travel, agriculture, and spending time outdoors.
