Where in the World

One of our very own doctors, Dr. Jeff Gerson, not only sees patients in clinic, but he also spends time travelling and lecturing at conferences for optometrists all around the world. In the months of February and March, he will travel to 7 different places to lecture, including a school of optometry to talk to students, and to major meetings in Vancouver, Atlanta and New York City.

February: Macular Degeneration Awareness Month

The American Academy of Ophthalmology has recognized February as Age-Related Macular Degeneration Awareness Month. Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of vision loss for people ages 60 and older in the United States. The most recent statistics show that over 10 million Americans have AMD.

Dr. McGowan provides comprehensive eye care to all ages and has spent more than a decade specializing in pediatrics, with an emphasis in managing and treating amblyopia and strabismus. Before joining Grin Eye Care, Dr. McGowan worked closely with Dr. Trudi Grin for over 11 years in her Pediatric Eye Care practice.
