Dr. Milton Grin has spent his medical career at the forefront of vision correction technology—not only studying the latest techniques and best practices, but also teaching them to the next generation of surgeons and providers. His passion for continuing education and technology has shaped his approach to patient care as well as his commitment to the communities he serves. Most recently, these passions led Dr. Grin and his staff to consider how students in and around our community view the future of our world and about their role in contributing to the world's ongoing growth and progression.

Investing in Our Future

Grin Eye Care wants to contribute to the next generation of innovators and forward thinkers, so we’re holding a STEM scholarship essay contest for anyone pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field (sciences, technology, engineering and/or mathematics). The winner of the contest will be awarded a $1,500 scholarship to be used for tuition, books and/or school supplies.

STEM Scholarship applicants must submit a 1,000-word maximum essay demonstrating their future vision for our rapidly changing world, their commitment to the betterment of our world through technology, and the possible impact of the scholarship on the life of the recipient, his/her future profession and/or the community.

Keeping it Local

Grin Eye Care has been investing in our community for more than 30 years. In 1989, Dr. Grin opened Grin Eye Care in Olathe, and has since operated his private ophthalmology practices in south Johnson County and across the state line in Missouri. Grin Eye Care currently has two locations in Olathe, KS, and Leawood, KS, and our vision experts are dedicated to providing the absolute best eye care to patients in and around these incredible communities.

As such, our team is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the next generation of local thought leaders within the various STEM fields. By encouraging students to not only pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, but to also think critically about the impact they could have on the world, we hope to fuel a passion for learning, growing and doing great things that make our community a better place to live.
